People of the Source is founded on the belief that the key to getting out of the global climate crisis is largely in the hands of indigenous peoples. With people who manage to survive with respect for the earth and nature in circumstances that we have long forgotten.

Indigenous people possess the knowledge that can help us to look at the earth in a different way. Their knowledge and values also make us realize that problems such as climate change can be solved in an alternative way, for example by changing the current economic system into a regenerative economy.

As sad as it may sound, more and more indigenous peoples are threatened in their existence. If this continues, we will not only lose their knowledge that, paradoxically, we need now to survive. The world will also lose valuable cultural heritage. It is time to listen to their voice.

That's why we organize five expeditions to truly remote areas around the world to meet the wisdom keepers of these indigenous peoples and learn from them.
During these trips, we experience how their systems create more social and environmental value, instead of using it.

People of the Source is an interactive project to convey the valuable knowledge of indigenous peoples. It includes exciting (virtual) leadership tracks, live gatherings, an art project and many other products. A Giving Back program is part of our project.

Joost is the founder of Translucentz and likes to operate on the cutting edge of storytelling, media, art, and the latest technology. It results in unexpected and always original projects.
Joost has undertaken many expeditions around the world. Within Translucentz he is responsible for the concepts and creation of the various products. Whenever he has time left, he can be found in the mountains as a mountain guide and ski instructor.
